Launched by the United Nations in 2015, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development raised a series of issues facing all countries and outlined 17 Sustainable Development Goals, along with 169 targets, based on active practice of equality and human rights. These goals and targets provide governments, private companies, and non-profit organizations around the world with a yardstick for setting long-term goals and sustainable development missions while serving as the highest guiding principles for the sustainable development of mankind by 2030.
CSCC has drawn up five development strategies (i.e., refine production technologies, develop new energy materials industries, implement workplace safety and environmental protection, engage in energy conservation and carbon reduction, and fulfill corporate social responsibility) and selected 12 SDGs. After designating the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee to integrate resources across departments, these SDGs have been incorporated into our corporate culture and daily operations.
